Building strong communities

Community investments are primarily managed through our parent company, Suncor Energy and the Suncor Energy Foundation. Suncor invests in community initiatives in three ways.

Charitable giving

Suncor invests in registered Canadian charitable organizations through the Suncor Energy Foundation. This private charitable foundation is fully funded by Suncor.

Community investments and sponsorships

In addition to the car clubs and racing events supported by Sunoco (for more information, visit the Car Clubs and Racing sections of this website), Suncor supports non-profit organizations and events by providing financial assistance, product or in-kind contributions.

Employees

The charitable giving and volunteer efforts of our employees, retirees and retail operators strengthen the communities in which Suncor businesses, including Sunoco, operate. To show our appreciation for their efforts, our employee funding program recognizes, and supplements, their community work and charitable giving.
